the 2 blue buttons attached to the board are the switches that controlled the leds/sound one clicks on/off other is just a push. if anyone would like to help me tackle the unwiring/rewiring of this i'd appreciate it. also whomever wants to give it a go, i can send one out just toss me a msg. thanks

I think once you get that in a metal hilt and have a good bit of resonance it would make it sound a lot better.

You can use at least a 3W RGB LED and wire it up using a transistor for each color like we do with the econo board and it will be pretty decent.

Are those bare wires coming off the bottom battery contact? That's scary, if so.

It looks like it only has a clash sensor. Does it just cycle through the hum sounds?

Could be a good, cheap board for kid's sabers.

yeah it cycles through the humms. also nope not bare, it looks like its either transparent covering, or a silver covering.

This might be a good option for the econo-pvc sabers I'm gonna build for the kids who join my lightsaber class.
Thanks for posting!
======Runs out to buy one========

Update: Went to the TRU:express by me and they had a bunch. The sign said they were $7.97 until 11/17 then back to $9.97

yw Ingchao, if you figure out how to wire it, i'd love a dia.

I think switching out the clash sensor for a momentary switch would be better. Then you could cycle through the sounds and colors at your choice.

I don't know much about much, but I would try to wire it the same way as the 2010 Hasbro sound card.
I haven't gotten one yet.

Funds are so tight I can't even pay attention.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has seen these things, I picked up two, one for my daughter and one for myself. I was pretty shocked how freakin loud the thing is compared to a hasbro saber. Not only that but the 2 Red/2 Blue die LED is pretty bright too, and makes a nice purple, the blade in these cheap things is a plastic tube with a cellophane wrap on the inside. I had plans myself to put one of these in the MHS parts that should be here tuesday, I was planning on first trying to wire it like a 2010 board.

Poor pic, taken with camera phone, but the wiring is terrible, it's not bare wire, but really really thin clear coated wire.

I played with one at toys r us express. The "clash" sensor on it is quite sensitivie. Anything more than a soft swing sets it off. So if I used it I would switch it out for a different clash sensor. It has the standard startup, shutdown, and hum sounds, which are about the similar quality as the old force action boards. There is no swing sensor, it just cycles through the swing sounds, which can get annoying. But there is some variety there. The clash sound actually sounds more like a blaster deflection, which is unique. Unlike the hasbro boards, there is no flash on clash. There is a nice bonus in the fact that you can turn off the sound entirely. If I had to choose I would get one of the toy hasbros, but I may pick this one up for a little variety.

Yeah bought one for my daughter, then another one after it died. Opened the first one up, laughed at the delicate wiring, picked it up and placed it delicately in the bin. If it wasn't for the cycling hum it would be a pretty good board and tiny at that. Good luck with experimentation.

Well I ended up frying the board... with my thumb :( If anyone else attempts this, hot glue that clash sensor, just touching it with any kind of power through it will burn your finger pretty good.

If I ever hit up the mall anytime soon, I might give it another go.

Can't complain about the size of that guy, holy cow >:)
I've been wondering about squeezing a sound board into an Ultra-Sabers RGB Prophecy and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of wiggle room in the hilt (I did add a MHS pommel for some more room for speaker mount, etc) and something like that just might be the ticket....
(Sorry MR Vader, but you'll just have to hang out in the garage some more until I can find a use for you!)
