Imperious by Saber Concepts
Here is one of my latest sabers. It is called Imperious which means Assuming authority without justification; arrogant; domineering. It is a short saber (10 1/2") with a 36" trans white thinwalled blade with reflective tip (No diffusion) and it is pretty bright. I am using an 2010 Econo Board with the transistor set up and a Red P4 powered by a single 3.7V 14500 Li-Ion. I machined all the parts except the MHS Choke 3. (That is my favorite choke)

I really like the "chunky" gear pommel. Great work.

Diggin' the pommel!
And I also love the use of the "new" grip style, and man is that P4 bright!

Nice job Wade!:D

I'm in agreeance, I really dig that pommel. I also love the grips.

The grips on this one are just narrow flutes, those are not my "new" type of grips. This saber has a great feel to it, that choke with the textured PC makes it very nice for spins. This is the first time I have used a single 3.7V Li-Ion with the 2010 Econo board and it really works very nicely.

You mean there is nothing in the flutes? My eyes doth deceive me. It looks like the stuff that Fender uses.

Seth, click on 2nd the photo at the bottom of Wade's first post, you can see the flutes real well. ;)

Yeah my mind has been playing tricks on me lately. Even in that picture, the top flute looked like a grip (the light is playing tricks on my eyes). I sit about 5 ft from my monitor because I get migranes if I get too close. My focus isn't very good.

It is probably the textured PC that makes it look like that.

Nice Rhyen! It does look like the new slotted TCSS grips...raised as opposed to fluted. I really like the pommel. Especially the edge detail. Personally I think an 8 hole pattern would have lined up with the outer contour and it would look nice longer too. Not to say the length doesn't look great but it would nice to see you try a longer on in the future if it suits your tastes or a future build. Top notch machining as usual! I would love to see a blade that bright with some polyp it....it does look wicked bright though.

This saber is basically some parts I just threw together that I had laying around. It wasn't even a planned saber. Just had to get some sabers made. LOL I personally do like them longer. I like them around 12" - 14". This should be an awesome saber for a kid. :)

Oh no I didn't mean the whole saber, I was referring to the pommel which I thought could look even nicer if longer. I think I was half asleep when posting that.

I like the way you used the texture PC; makes it look machined out of cast metal.

This should be an awesome saber for a kid. :)
A kid **with issues...** (New reality series: "Growing up Sith.") =)
All kidding aside, very nice saber. It looks very duellable. The grip on my AFS broadsword is only 8", and I'm guessing this is _a bit_ less point-heavy!

Now that is a good idea. I think the pommel would look better longer. How much more do you think would make it look best? I wouldn't want it to be too long.

If it's an inch long now Id say 1.5" to 2". I'm leaning towards the 1.5 though. But now that you mention too long, I wonder what a saber would look like with a grip section like the pommel.

Don't give me any ideas. LOL
