Material List - 24" Blade


24" Long 3/4"OD 1/2"ID Polycarbonate tube[/li]
24" minus length of mono plug Long 7/16"OD 5/16"ID Rigid high density polyethylene tubing - straightened[/li]
10' 2.5mm High Bright EL wire[/li]
3/4"OD Half round acrylic tip [/li]
1/4" Mono plug[/li]
Allen head set screw[/li]
Material List - 40" Blade


40" Long 3/4"OD 1/2"ID Polycarbonate tube[/li]
40" minus length of mono plug Long 7/16"OD 5/16"ID Rigid high density polyethylene tubing - straightened[/li]
17' 2.5mm High Bright EL wire[/li]
3/4"OD Half round acrylic tip [/li]
1/4" Mono plug[/li]
Allen head set screw[/li]

1. Gather supplies

2. Strip the EL wire, exposing 2 small and 1 large wire. You only solder one end to the mono plug.
A. Solder both small wires to this spot on the mono plug.
B. Scrape the coating off the end of the large wire and solder it to this spot on the mono plug.

3. Glue tip to Polycarbonate tube (must use special plastic glue)

4. Drill and tap hole 1/ from end of PolyC tube for set screw

5. Insert 1/4 mono plug into end of tube and mark it where you drilled the hole

6. Drill hole into 1/4 mono plug case a tad bigger than the set screw

7. Fold the EL wire using the PolyE for length guidance

8. Put it all together and screw in the set screw
