Mustafar Anakin tribute build

I recently asked LDM if I could do an homage to his Mustafar saber series, as it's always been one of my favorite creations of his. I am a huge fan of "what if" sabers and this is what Anakin's saber would look like if he had survived the Mustafar battle fully intact, and had recovered his saber from the scorching lava planet. This hilt is heavily weathered and clear coated, and uses the stock blade holder. I did my best to keep it looking to how these were originally made, and I hope I did the master mad scientist's creation some justice.

*MR Anakin hilt
*Stock blade holder with TCSS sink tube heat sink and custom casing
module (thanks to Jay-Gon's tutorial to give me ideas)
*Seoul P4 Red
*Real red crystal in pommel with accent LED
*Mesh pommel insert
*18650 3.7V Li-Ion battery solution with recharge port in the lower grip section (no longer 4-AA)
*Stock MR Blade with white diffuser removed and mirrored tip and
polypropylene added.

]and uses the stock blade holder.

WHAT!?!
The master of duel-fu doesn't use a metal bladeholder?

:rolleyes::p

Seriously, nice work, I like it a lot, and also love the mustafar series.

Cool Caine...nice to hear more about the type of sabers you like and this one looks pretty good. I always thought Mustafar sabers weren't so much dropped in lava as smoked and charred. For a dropped in lava look I would pull out the blow torch for sure.

yes. the rest of the saber is so brutalized, the grips should be as well.

Great work Caine. Looking at the pics, I would think it was an LDM.

If you're going to burn the grips, at least do something to the covertech as well... even if it is slight enough to still be able to wear.

the weathering is awesome. ^_^ i'm not a fan of crystal pommels, but you pulled that one off very well i think.

The OG Mustafar Anakin had melted grips and CT wheel ;)

That said, Caine..you did a great job. I saw the OG saber recently and this representation does her justice.:D

Thanks bro, if you approve, then I know all is well...and thanks to everyone else for your kind comments as well. Glad I could do this series the justice it deserves (no stickers, either ;) FX peeps will know what I mean, lol

Oh, and ask and you shall receive. Burned covertec and grips. I think this was the most fun part of the build...watching the grips and covertec catch FIRE! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Stickers make your saber burn hotter.

Edited first post to reflect new battery solution. I should have known better to make one of my personal sabers with standard alkalines ;)
