This is a good solid way to use the TCSS premium speaker with 1" pvc, it also makes a great sound chamber too. I used 1" electrical pvc threaded male & female connectors, & a 3/4" end cap. The TCSS premium speaker fits perfectly inside the male connector. The female connector gets glued to the hilt. I also have to apologize for the pics. My wife dropped our camera & broke the lens.:( I shot these with our video camera.

I drilled sound holes in the male connector, & the 3/4" end cap. I also drilled & tapped the end cap so I can use 8/32 button head screws. When the end cap is secured it will hold the speaker in place.

I put it all together & have a pommel with a speaker inside of it & a nice 1" or so sound chamber. You'll noticed I cut some of the threading off. This way the speaker wire won't get twisted in the hilt.

Here's a little video so you can here what it sounds like. I had to use the video camera on my lap top.

Excellent tutorial. Can you post pictures of the raw parts and then how you attach it to the hilt? I'm trying to get all of the pommel methods straight so I have a good assortment to work with.

Looks like you've got a couple O-rings on the end of the male connector.
Thanks for the tut - must try =)

Thanks guys. Knighthammer, yes I'm using 2 o-rings in between the male & female connector. These parts will lock up if you screw them all the way down without the o-rings, & are almost impossible to get apart. The o-rings solve that problem.:)
Seth here's a pic of the raw 1" male & female threaded connectors. I don't have a 3/4" end cap on hand. But you can find it in the same section as these parts. Hope this helps.

I glue the female connector to the main part of the hilt & the male connector just screws into the female connector.

Hey Novastar. It's a board from the Spiderman 3 Green Goblin sword/saber. It dosen't have a swing effect, just an idle hum & 3 different clash sounds.

Thanks, Jack. You pull through for me once again. I think at this point you should just take me on as your padawan learner.
