First time poster long time reader...so...

...greetings !!!

This is the 3rd light saber I have build, the first two were made with MHS parts and the cheap 2010 Hasbro soundboards wired through a pnp transistor set up.

The total length on this sink tube is 12.5 and parts included in the fabrication are a a 1.5 sink tube, a 1.25 sink tube, a MHS 1.5 sink tube adapter, MHS choke style 2, and MHS blade holder 19.

I have not installed any electronics in this sink tube saber yet but I plan to start that next. I have a seoul p4 (blue) all set and wired to a hasbro board for installation. I am not pleased with the switch on it now and I plan to install a AV style swith with a bezel.

Nice saber, it looks nice and solid. I like the placement of the screws!

What grip material is that? Orings?

Looks like a vacuum hose.

Very nice! I think you may have went a bit nuts on the screws (bad pun intended). You could have got away with less but it looks fine just the same. I agree the AV switch would really set this one off.

Imma gonna say.....great job!

Yep, he may have a lot of screws on this one, but at least they're all in line and perfectly symetrical. Hats off for that, and the very clean dremel work:D

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I learned a lot by reading these forums.

The black grip is made from ribbed rubber flooring material that I found at the hardware store. I glued it around the 1.25 tube and used it as a sleeve inside the 1.5 tube. I ended up cutting the 1.25 tube from end to end and removing approximately .25 so it looked sort of C shaped instead of circular. If I didn't cut it before inserting it inside it would have probably caused some bowing issues on my grip cut out. The little bolts hold everything together but I do agree that I could have used less of them.

Very nicely done! I like the screws....gives that hand built from whatever I had laying around look that so many lightsabers in the expanded universe would have. I have to agree with Fender, too, about the placement....very well executed...I'd have had them all over the place if I had done it. ;)
