Greetings all, Another power source question. I have a MHS with LuxIII and a 2.2 ohm 5W resistor, running off 4 AAA batteries (wired up by the Great Jedi Loreen, thanks again Lori!). I've seen these Lithium batteries that are advertised as being much more efficient/long lasting etc than standard alkalines. I have no problem testing to see what is in fact the best one but I wanted to make certain if there are any types that I should not use for whatever the reason (too much power/might damage the components etc) Are there any AAA size batteries I need to avoid or am I free to experiment worry free?

Thanks in advance for the data!

Feel free to do whatever you want with that setup. The nice thing about the 5W resistor is you have a lot of room to play with.

We did shoot this around a while back and this may help you out:

There were a few talks about batteries as well a good search should dig those up but like I said right now with your setup you have room to play with higher output batteries.
