What is just as bad is that I used to play this game on an Atari that I owned.[:p]

Wow! Anybody remember the cartoon that came out shortly thereafter?

I don't remember that commercial, or the cartoon. I was in my 20s in the 80s and had probably stopped playing with my Atari 2600 by then. [:p]
In order to see the Light, you must sometimes risk the Dark.

I got to play atari but was always a Sega person, maybe becaue there was a Sega Center across the Street at the Mall. For some reason I seem to collect obsolete platforms, I also have a working Genesis & Game Gear. I gave up trying to keep up with the new platforms and just use my PC now.[:)]

I still have working Sega Dreamcast, Genesis 32X with CD, Sega Nomad, and Gamegear, Sony Playstation 1 with all the attachments (floppy drive, and video card), Super Nintendo, the first Nintendo, Atari 5200, and the Atari 2600, and all their games! [:p]
Now I just play PC games, especially M.A.M.E. [^][:D][8D]

Ok, but dooya still have your Intellivision?? Or how about your Atari 7200? The Atari ADAM computer? The Lynx system? Wow, mem'ries...[:D]
**Bonus: What was the name of the system that was compatible with the Arcade stand-ups, you could pick between 4-5 different games on the same console, and you even had a memory card you could take with you to the arcade to pick up where you left off??

Sort of off topic but the X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter series no longer work on modern computers. They are DOS based and Windows XP can't run them. I nearly cried last week when I tried to install them :( Best games ever...

not only do i remember the pole position cartoon, i even remember the cheesy theme song.
if you wanna play the old-school actual arcade versions of games, download MAME at www.mame.net. i've got a bunch of ROMS (including the original Star Wars vector game) and will be glad to email 'em to anybody that wants 'em. I can post a list of what I got if that'll help.
as far as vintage game platforms...did anybody else have a Commodore Amiga? that was the computer to have in its heyday.

Ok, if mem'ry serves...
...the system was the Neo-Geo. I think it dropped at $350, and each game was like a buck, buck-fifty. Samurai Showdown was one of the games..and some Double Dragon knock-off, but with ninjas.
Oh, and that's "Sure, you're right!", but in Shaftese.
