Sorry if this has come up before. Has anyone tried to take the Parks Graflex FLASH and converted it to LED? Not his EL Deuce but the actual flash unit. IF so how difficult was it? Any data would be appreciated

I think that the parks graflex is a true replica so it would be easy to convert just get the Graflex adapter blade holder that Tim sells and you are good to go. I would think about looking around for a graflex replica you probably can get one for a better price.

Parks is way overpriced. Try to stay away. That Aliens pulse rifle? $1000

How much would it cost to make it yourself? About $600

parks has sweet hilts but that is where the good stuff ends. he is way overpriced and his sabers are el. not to mention the fact that it takes 12-14 weeks for him to build one saber

Parks also sells the Graflex unit in it's original form, I'm told it even works as a camera flash (with all the rest of the original camera parts of course) for $150 which is expensive yes but not really all that bad.

I have seen the replica graglex units on ebay for under 100 dollars and if you want to make a saber you don't need the flash bulb socket anyway, and for 150 you can get an original graflex.

if you want to build a luke esb or anh then just get one of the hilt kits on ebay. they sell for like 100 and then all you need to do is put in the electronics

myself, i have 3 real graflexs, and one larbel replica graflex. the larbel is conveted to el, as well as one of my real ones, and 1 real one is converted to led. and one is in a display case converted to anh lukes.

right now, is a fairly good time to grab a graflex. you can find real ones in good shape for around 100 to 200. replicas i seen, were around 75 to 150.

unless you just have to have a real one, like me, you can get a replica a bit cheaper. but look on ebay for them. i wouldnt pay park's price for his. theyre nice, but overpriced.

Do any of you actually own Jeff's work? I have the arc-wave and while I paid a ton for it its a quality product and still works like it did when I got it. His stuff is expensive but I think its totally worth it, he has some really nice designs.

At San Diego Comic-Con '04, I worked for Jeff Parks, touting his sabers around the Exhibit Hall, for a free saber. I had one of his Graflex sabers in my hand for a day, that was going to be mine. It was nice, and I would have been happy enough with it. But by the next day, he was already selling out, so I give it back to him to sell, then I could order the one that I really wanted, the Fusion.

I also have an M2, the Maelstrom.

I've never been much of a Star Wars replica enthusiast. I guess I like to be more original. [;)]

i've only seen pics of them on ebay and in his gallery. some of the ones in his gallery are totally photoshoped because el isn't that bright in the dark, much less daylight

the picture of jedi mcfly with his rouge saber is the most obvious picture

Some of those photos are sent in by those people who are in them and were touched up by them people, not the Parks people, if that's what you are thinking.

And it's the Rogue saber, not Rouge. That means red in French or is the make up that women use to color their cheeks.[;)]

And that pic of the bright green saber under the Vader pics isn't a Fury, the one in the woman's hand is, that pic is captioned wrong. That green bladed one happens to be a blade made of NEON and the guy holding it made it himself. I know the guy.
