I know this is bad timing with Tim away, but I'm probably not going to be on for a while. My Father died of a heart attack out of town. I don't know what I'm going to do... I don't know if I'm going to drive to Orlando now or what. My family is all here and my grandmother is in denial.

Do you happen to know where Church's Hospital is? I don't think it's going to do any good, but that where he is.

His new wife is a nurse and supposedly did CPR but said he was gone before the paramedics could get there. I'm hearing everything second-hand but... I don't know what to do.

Sorry Buddy I am not familar with that one, I did a quick search of the hospitals in Orlando but came up empty. It is very hard when things like this happens and you are not there. Hang in there.

i remember when my grandmother passed, i felt terrible. but my prayers are with u as well xwing

I feel terrible too. I talked to my step-mom yesterday about what happened/is going on. She assured me of a lot of things like how he died and that all of his kids will be taken care of through life insurance.

I'll probably not post until Friday. As a Firefighter and my dad being a "big-wig" they're giving him a formal funeral which makes me glad. They have taken care of him the whole way. The chief himself drove up with a rescue truck to carry his body home.

I miss him terribly already.

Firemen, like Policemen, always take care of their own, one of my Uncles who was a fireman, died last year, they took care of him well. My dad is a cop, so he'll get similar treatment, it makes you proud to see their comrades paying their respect.
Every fire station on the way to the cemetary had trucks on each side of the road with the cranes forming an arch over the street, and the firemen standing by with a hand, or hats over their hearts.
Our thoughts are with you Xwing, remember your father's service, and honor his memory with pride.

I'd like to thank you all for the support. There were so many things today that I can't begin to explain that touched me so much. The fire department did so much. I will cerish the memories.

i had a wierd dream last nite, it wasnt like any other, i dont think it waas even a dream. i was awake the whole nite too, but when i fell asleep, i was floating in my room, and i could actually feel, and hear things, it was crystal clear too. so that was wierd. ok that was random, but xwing dont worry, the hurt stays for a while, you cry (maybe), and you will still remember your father as the great person he was, and you will remember those good times you had with him. i understand losing you grandparents, but your parents hurt the most.
