maybe take it up a notch..

use hex head screws and then use a smaller diam. drill bit to drill 'through' the hex/screw stem...

this will let light through the holes.

do it for both top and bottom?

or maybe just every other one? to keep some 'strength/support'.

They also make vented socket cap screws that already have a hole through them. But they are comparatively expensive at ~$1.00 each.

thanks for the information ....didn't know they made them with predrilled holes through them will have to look at that for the next time i use this style

personally i think you should stick a ring of older solar cells around the emitter. it would give it a nice fresh electronics age bit of flare.

or put a solar cell in a recess in the bh and have a self charging saber :D

I know I had a stack of 101% efficient solar cells around here somewhere, lemme dig em out and I'll send em your way. :D

respectfully i don't know anything about them will have to look into it.....was wondering if there is a wiring schematic with using accent led using the obi wan 2010 board...using accent for the crystal chamber

here are some pics of lightsaber hilt all together .....no electronics yet

well ran into a problem with the build the paint didn't adhere to well after i sandede the parts first so i sandeed everything back down and came up with this

crystal chamber

claws ...thanks to jedy fury and shadar agony for the idea

Did you remember to use an aluminum primer before painting? I know some paints don't adhere too well if you don't use a proper primer first.

no i didn't.....it's all good though like it better this way ...looks way better than the paint job ......now if i can get the led on the switch and the chamber to light up better i'd be a lot happier.....once led turns on the led on chamber gets really dim ...not sure why as of yet more testing to get it perfect i guess
