I'm posting this here to check for errors.

If anybody sees any mistake in the parts I'm using, their position or how they're wired, please notify me.

And just out of curiosity: where would a power level indicator (PLI) be installed and how would it be wired?

Thanks again.

Everything looks good except the recharge port which is not wired right.

To FenderBender listen should you...

A PLI should in theory go between the recharge port and the main activation switch. It will turn on to indicate the battery power level once you remove the kill key, but then I think it will turn off once the saber is turned on... could be wrong about that one though...

The puck for the red die should be a 6 wire. You dont want to use a resistor after the puck, because that makes the puck suck up more power. Use the 6 wire, and adjust it to the shade of purple you want using a pot. Then measure the pot with a multimeter and put that resistor on the extra two wires.

@Cannibal869: Will I need a kill key if I don't use a PLI?
(I don't know what's a kill key used for, apologies)

@FenderBender: how should the recharge port be wired? I followed these schematics: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=2235

Thanks to the three of you for the help.

Refer to this. It is what I used for my first port setup (it's on the same page you linked, just scroll down a bit) http://www.plecterlabs.com/Media/RechargePort.jpg

So this one's more like it.

OK, this is the final thing. Is there anything wrong?

And what of the kill plug? I know I gotta use one, but what is it for?

I believe you still have a resistor in your schematic; it can get tricky getting the right shade.

Yes. I plan on using a potentiometer and a multimeter for that.

Is the PLI wired correctly?
