I have been creating sink tube sabers but wanna move on up. I have been searching the forums and the general consensus is that the best place to buy your own T6 aluminum is either speedymetals.com or onlinemetals.com. I have found aluminum pipe on both sites. My two questions are does anyone know the specific dimension needed to fit over the MHS system and/or the dimensions to fit over your basic 1 1/2" sink tube (22 gauge)?

Would the following links be the correct size to fit over either?

http://www.speedymetals.com/pc-4575-8371-1-12-od-x-065-wall-tube-6061-t6-aluminum.aspx

http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=1223&step=4&showunits=inches&id=73&top_cat=60

Thanks

The OD of the MHS parts are 1.45". You need to look for tubing instead of pipe. You will get much closer with the tubing. At Onlinemetals you can get 1.5" OD and 1.43" ID and have Tim turn down the MHS part a little for it to fit.

Sorry I misspoke, i meant tubing. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a commonly purchased aluminum shroud that works for the mhs system right off the bat.

Has anyone else found an aluminum tube that fits with the mhs without modification or which site has the best deal?

Thanks again.

I have never found 1.45 ID tubing... as stated 1.43 is closest Ive found..

but having your MHS parts turned down is simple enough..

MHS was designed for use with 1.5" 22 gauge sink tubes.

TCSS also sells sleeves in the store that are used to go over standard MHS parts.

as mentioned they have aluminum in the store for purchase.. (however it is down at the moment).

not a chrome sink tube..but aluminum 'overlay' matieral.. specific for the OD og MHS parts.

However the Al shroud has been out of stock for the past couple of months.
*At least every time I've checked since early July*
