Hey, not sure if it's just me but the main webstie @ thecustomsabershop.com doesn't seem to be working.

I'm kinda new but is this a normal maintenance thing or what?

Here is the news from Tim.

He said that his host told him he got hacked. He was planning to change hosts anyway so he decided to do that now. He is currently working hard to get the store back up.

Rest assured, Tim is on the case ;)

This is odd because the Star Wars: The Old Republic website seems to have been hacked as well

I'm glad the forum is still up, but the store is down :(

Anyone know why?

It is. My informants told me its a plot from the sith to take over the I-Universe.

Get ready to defend!

UPDATE FROM TIM: Almost done as of 3H51pm eastern time, he is waiting for a new license # and it should all be good. Email works again (don't flood him with 'whats going on').

funny thing 'is' it 'could' be related..

not really a starwars site thing (per se`)..

but could be a hack/exploit in software both sites use? or hosted by same comapny?

(exploit in mySQL, PHP..a mod, add-on...etc)

Never rule out anything.

Many websites use the same 'core' platform and build around it.

Common cores are PHPNuke, PHPFusion, vBulletin, SMF, phpbb, etc.

Usually when one gets hacked, there is also a string of others that are based on the same software, because hackers will launch attacks against a specific exploit all at once to catch people off guard.
