I need to know if any knows of any reason this won't work or extra measures that need to be taken.* Do I need certain new parts or techniques?* Will the Luxeon III (orange) have any adverse effects?* If so, how can I prevent them?* Does the power source need to be modified, or will it just drain the batteries faster?* ANYTHING I need to know don't hesitate to tell me.

This is pretty vauge. Are you talking about an FX conversion? Are you talking about using a Hasbro economy board to power a LUX?

Yes, we need more information to answer your questions.

Have you read any of the tutorials yet that have to do with using Hasbro sound boards?

Yes it will work with a hasbro eco board. Don't forget to add a TIP45G PNP Transistor.

Yes it will work with a hasbro fx board.

Yes it will work with a hasbro fx conversion.

Check the saber sound thread for tutorials on how to properly wire them.

You stated in you reply to add a "TIP45G PNP Transistor". This is the only post that I found that advises this...is this necessary for a conversion? What purpose does it serve?

as it's shown in the econo soundboard threads, it's used to ramp up the LED output power of the econo boards from 20mA to the power levels that a high output LED requires.

/puts away her spoon.

also, it's a TIP42 transistor - Ronan mistyped

You need to do a lot more reading. There are plenty of tutorials in the wiring and diagrams board, and there is an entire thread dedicated to the economy board. Check those out before you do anything else.
