After what seems like a long time, but was really only a couple of months of gathering parts and tools and getting parts painted and worked on, my first MHS saber is done. I don't have a name for it, but I think of it as my padawan saber. The next one will be my Jedi knight saber and will have sound, which this one doesn't.

Specs

Pommel 3v2
Pommel insert 12 (held in place with an o-ring for now)
1.2 inch double female connector
Double male connector
Hilt style 4 with machined AV switch hole service and copper PC
Emitter 16 with copper PC and blade retention screw hole tapping service
Gold plated AV switch
Seoul P4 green LED
Pololu SV board to make the momentary switch a latching switch
1000ma Buckpuck
TCSS 4aa battery holder

And now the pics...first is the render of my original idea. The only thing that changed is I went with the copper instead of gold PC. I still need to figure a way to do the green parts, but its done otherwise.

Great saber. You can try some o-rings for the green parts.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like my design. I don't want to use O-rings for the green, but I think I should be able to paint those parts if I'm careful about taping off the rest and making sure the paint only goes where I want it.

That is a nice looking saber. You shouldn't have a problem taping it off to paint. The green accents will look good. Post pics when you have it done.

Man... gotta love me some P4.. bright little buggers...

Might i suggest, trimming the mirror in your tips to let some light into the tip? 'twould look AMAZING ;) Great Job Elf!

It really looks nice as it is. The various metallic colours look great and I'd be hesitant to add any non metallic colours to it myself.
