I think the last saber i put together was for the contest.
Upon realizing that i have decided to quit "slacking" so to speak.
My son managed to break his saber because i was lazy and used a plastic slip joint instead of machining one. So i made him a brand spanking new one to teach myself a lesson. :P

So here is my latest.
It's 98.5% custom machined by me.
I modified a TCS blade holder and used a switch bezel.(That counts as 1.5% right?) =)
Leather wrapped grip
MR/Hasbro Anakin board.
Lux 3 green.
3.7 Li-ion 18650.
Recharge port.
Latching orange AV switch.
Premium TCS speaker.
Black appliance enamel accents.
There is no CT or D-ring.( My son is 5 and likes keeping his pants at waist level) =)

looks awesome. I really like the way you did the blade emitter, as well as the leather wrap. nice and clean.

It's full size.
13 3/4" over all.
He's grown a bit, his last one was just under 9". :)

I said SDF-1, not Sfd-1. It's a Robotech reference.

lol yeah, I'd like to see an SDF-1 or even Valkyrie inspired saber one of these days!

But very nice job on that one Treadingwolf! I'm sure your son was happy with it!

Your boy has got to love that saber. It kind of has a Yoda feel to it. I know it dosn't look like Yodas saber, I'm just saying it has a Yoda feel to it. Good job.

I was thinking the same thing...kinda reminds me a bit of Yoda's saber. I need a lathe. Nice job!
