I'm sure most of you do, but check your local craigslist listings for lightsabers. I just picked up a 2005 Vader for 50 bucks in mint condition, with stand, original box, documentation and everything. I wanted it just to have a collectable, but the prospect of parting it out to make a profit is very tempting.

Oh, and he even threw in 3 miniature replicas of the Vader, Luke, and Yoda lightsabers. They came with removable clear acrylic (or similar) blades that light up in the appropriate colors. Very nice looking.

EDIT: Here are the pictures of the mini sabers, as requested! They are all metallic with either a chrome or powder coat finish.

I didn't know the miniatures came with blades that light up. Cool

No, not for legos, silly!

The MR .45 Vader is 5" long x 3/4" in diameter.

The one I have is 3 and 3/4" long and 1/2" in diameter. I think that makes it a .34 replica.

EDIT: The measurement was taken from the base of the pommel to the tip of the emitter.

So I should totally trick these things out, right!? Lux I, here I come!

Saw these at C5. They run on watch batteries, and the ones I saw come apart to reveal a "crystal chamber" which is a filter for coloring the blade.

Interesting, I haven't tried to take them apart, yet. I know the blade comes out. I'll see what I can do.

Edit: Nope, just the blade. When you look down the hilt, you can see the LED. I guess that is as close to a crystal chamber as I get ^.^

As if my day couldn't get any better, I just won a Heiland flash handle for $20.

Weird, they look just like the ones we saw at C5 and they had a little "crystal" that you put in and it was the filter for the main led in the hilt.

On a side note, just found a Mace on Craigslist in my area, gonna call today.
