Looking around and hadn't seen any mention of it and was wondering if any one has messed with one yet, or knows what the insides of it look like? Have seen them on the shelves at target. Sorry if some one else has posted about it already and I missed it.

There was a post somewhere on the Sound board. Should be in the first 2 pages.

I have one ripped apart and plan on using it in a saber soon. It does have a switch that kinda makes is sound like a Jedi and a Sith sound. There is a lower pitch on the sounds when in Sith mode. I have also found out that it doesn't not have enough current output for any of the LEDs we use (47 mA with 6 volt input) but the transistor set up will work fine with this board too.

Does it post the same flicker and blinking effects as the cheap hasbros?

Yes it does. It has a seperate switch board and a diode board but the rest is about the same.
