While we were in SoCal this past month doing our bi-yearly saber friends visit, our first stop was my good friends Bruce and Jen's place. Bruce had this old, battered MR Luke that was sitting in his saber rack that he asked if I could take a look at. Of course, I said I'd do whatever he wanted on it (I HATE jacked up sabers...even MR ones...and I hate it even more when my friends have their sabers just sitting there not being used). So I took it back with me and here is the result. Bruce isn't a big fan of sound, and he wanted this to be a stunt, but not with the traditional green. So we figured a Dark Jedi Style Luke would be kind of cool...and it is! (yes, Caine is saying he likes this saber!)

Nice. Exactly what I want to do but I will be keeping the stock pommel insert. I was just wondering though, when you convert this saber, does the stock battery pack still stay lets say sort of wireless or would I need extra wire length for sliding the pack out when new batteries are needed? You know, like when you do MHS sabers and you need that extra wire length? I'm going to be getting stuff for a ROTJ Luke conversion to a Dark Luke V1 saber. :D Can't wait. Also how did you get that blade emittor to unscrew? it says in Maul's conversion instruction to unscrew the emittor but it seems difficult. Only thing I will be doing to my Dark Luke V1 saber is re-painting the copper to black with no weathering. I might paint the bottom near the pommel to black as well to match also no weathering. Anyway, thanks for the info.

This is a stunt, so I used a different battery pack than stock. Also, the emitter was alreasy easy to unscrew (my friend gave it to me that way) but I have had some Luke's that it is a MAJOR pain. I suggest using a strap wrench.

We got a presser thing so I will just secure the saber onto that and get the emittor off that way. Like the tool with the two clamps and it has the lever that you twist to tighten or un-tighten the two clamps on the side. My step-dad has just about everything. I might paint the control box to black too, the copper parts, that would look cool and then maybe upgrade the cover box part to a TCSS one so its not cheap looking anymore. I have the saber planned out basically just trying to get out the visual look of it. I will ask my bro and see what he thinks because he is good at visualizations.
