Hey everyone, need some opinions on shroud work for my first MHS saber.

If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks!

Second one with first one color, or maybe a mix of them both. Always loving an amber/yellow/orange blade.

something doesn't mesh on the 2nd shroud

I think the combination of the long sweeping curve, and then, a BLOCK CUT, and then several ounded cuts.

I like the curves but not the block cut in the middle of it.

1st one. It is more sleek, has a more alluring design and will most likely be easier to cut.

1st one. It looks great with the rest of the hilt. I like the color scheme too.

Yeah, I like the first one as well. A definite Obi-Wan kind of look to it and he is one of the best Jedi!

I say choice 1, it just looks better with the other MHS parts you have!

1st is the one that looks like it belongs on a saber to me, the other looks too... contrived?

Um Raf, this thread was started 9 days ago. That's not considered old here... or anywhere else I would imagine. Just sayin'.

LOL... Just got back from my honeymoon in Moorea (so do I get an exemption?).
Beautiful place.

+1 for the 1st render for me too...

I agree with Arkan about the square window in the overlay.

Translating a 2D render to 3D can really change the look of a design. I think it depends on which one you think you can improve on the most and have the most successful finished product. Imagining the potential end result, only you would really know what you'd be more happy with.
