This is my second attempt at a Kyle Katarn/Qu Rahn hilt. A lot of the inspiration for this one came from Neophyl's version that he made for Koda Vonnor, which, IMHO, is still my idea of the definitive version.

This one is a quase-scratch-build. And although you may recognize some MHS parts of parts in there - there are no complete MHS parts on this hilt... just a lot of hacking and grinding. I only used: a hand drill, taps, hack saw, pipe cutter, and files & sand paper.

Specs:
Raw aluminium tube
- 1.5"
- 1.25"
- 1.125"
Cannabalized MHS parts
- ribbed section
- MPS 4
- 1.57" MHS aluminium sleeve material
- threadded section from... something
Other hilt parts
- Maul conversion kit
- thick-wall blade tip
- control box from a ebay purchase
- 1/2" Brass bar
- dremel motor coil (for blade plug)
- nylon washers
- 1"x1" thick-wall polyC
Green Rebel
Corbin driver (1A)
2x 18500s (7.4V)
1.3mm recharge port in pommel
Mini tactile
... and one clear 6/32 screw (material unknown)

No vid - soundless saber.

Nice work!
It's proof that it's the artist not the tools!

Very Nice!!!! I have always liked this hilt... Great job... :)

I'm loving the green rebels! I just used one for the first time, and will never use anything else...

Awesome job, Eastern. That's one of my all time favorite hilts, and you've truly done it justice. Kudos!

Really well done, this looks like a real saber! Unfortunately I haven't used yet a green Rebel, but in future I will probably try: looking at your saber it seems to be very bright and full (in past I used a p4, very bright but more a water-green than an emerald-green).

The stator frame is a great idea for a blade plug.:) I used one myself in my two crystal chamber. :D

Interesting design, I like it because it is different from a lot of what you see in here!

Thanks all! It's been a unicorn of mine for a while... and who knows, maybe I'll try to get it even more like Phil's next time ;) Labor of love and all. :D

This is a beautiful saber. Whenever I see it it reminds me of the first time I played Jedi Knight! This is the first time I've seen one that actually lit up too! Great job!

Yeah, I saw. Google directed me to your PB account with the WIP pics - I still think it's the best one out there, by far. I sort of used the Blueprints, but I scaled it down to about 90%, a little smaller. 1:1 would be too big for me.
