ledsupply's star K2's

Hey all,

I just got my high current white K2 for ledsupply.com

First thing I checked is the lens as that has been THE question. The normal lenses sold here WILL work if modded a bit. The bottom is meant to fit around the round 3W emitter while the K2 is mostly square. this will need to be shaved but the good news is that the holder fits the star and the collumnator lens does too. So I'll get back when I have shaved it.

Anyone else get one yet and further than me in playing? I know Do-Clo grabbed some.

Both my new saber and my K2 will be here on saturday, I'll let you know. I ordered the regular 20mm holder from their website, the one that was supposed to be used with the K2 and a 5degree lens.

They are still in the pack I haven't had time to mess with them yet. But I got the standard lens and holder which looks like it will fit with a little touch from the dremel.[:p]

Xwing, the k2 works fine. If you have a 3watt to compare it with I don't think there will be a difference in size. Corbin told me that he can get blank stars from ledsupply for like 1 buck each. Finished my saber. I'll take pictures when I get the chance. Regular holders work. I'm not sure about the holders sold here. Haven't got the chance to try it.

I just got my LED today. If you order the K2 specific lens holder with the 20mm optics it works just fine, its even square cut at the bottom to allow it to sit on the K2. The only thing is that you need to do is shave the sides for your screws to sit down. Also it doesn't snap down on the star it just kinda rests there. If you are using the MHS it shouldn't be a problem otherwise you might need to secure it.
