Costumers!

Who here does costuming or cosplay at Cons? Post pics of your costumes if you have them. I know some people are just getting sabers for dueling but others for costuming. I'm wanting to do a Maul and maybe another generic sith, maybe something off KOTOR.

Thanks Do-Clo, I feel much better now. I've been doing 'cosplay' for years and didn't even know it. Renfaires, conventions, etc. I have always been into costuming since my mom made me my first Superman costume. She said I had to stop using crayons to make the 'S' on my tshirts. I've been hooked ever since. The only current costumes I have, except for Renfaire garb are my Jedi and my Rebel Fleet Trooper [you remember those guys in blue shirts and black vests at the beginning of EP4 who got thier butts whipped by Vader and his Stormtroopers] Our Rebel Legion base commander got it into her head that we [about 20 of us] should dress up this way to give someone for the Stormtroopers to fight. "It's our turn to win", she said. We will premire at Comicon in San Diego in July. Pics to follow after con.

Anybody do costuming in Orange County, California? We should get together.

Cosplay can be 2 things, an actual event or just walking around a Con in character. I fully intend to heckle the crap outta the obiwan's when I get my Maul done....in a nice, civil but Sith'ly manner lol.

Some people tend to forget its all in fun.... actually did anyone see the last StarWars Insider? They did a cool article on how kids love to take pics with Vaders. He's supposed to be a evil Sith Lord but apparently attractive to kids lol!

Zhi-Don, that's actually Halifax harbour behind me. The pics were taken in Point Pleasant park, which sits literally at the mouth of the harbour, which eventually meets the Atlantic ocean itself. There's remains of old military installations there, and it was on one of these that I took some of those pictures. I can't wait till I get my Zabrek makeup job done, that's going to look sweeet:) I'm also working on a corellian Jedi kit for a friend of mine- green tunics, brown cloak, and brown faux-leather tabards.

once i get my boots that should be shipped to me soon, and the belt that will be crafted soon by a certain sabermaker, i will get pics of me in full garb. i cant wait, the costume itself looks real nice.

LDS, I made both mine and my friend's Jedi outfits, at least all the fabric parts, anyhow. They look really good. Eric, that's an awesome Barriss Offee, love the pose she's in.

Thank you for your compliments. My wife finally stopped fighting my obsession. She is much happier now.
We're awaiting approval from RebelLegion as to her acceptability as a member. I think the costume came out better than 50% of the Barriss' they already have. But, they are starting to apply standards.
