Big sabers for the win!

As I said earlier, I LOVE that desing. It's just so awesome.

And blue is the perfect color for it.

I -LOVE- Norse mythology ;)

Thanks for the great support from the rest of you!

My thoughts on the size - I really like the overall feel of the long blade and hilt. It almost makes it feel like a longsword or bastard sword. It's very empowering and despite its overall size, it is very light!

I must say I'd be scared to attack you. It would be me as Yoda and you as... a normal dude

I like it, the first photograph is really cool... almost like the glow from a fire.

Ahhh if Odin could only see you now... Hey it could be the Light saber then tap it on the ground and it becomes the legendary hammer!LOL Explain that to the Jedi council!LMAO

Looks good. That's the same length as my longest saber. Any longer would be too much for sure. One great thing about that is not only can you use 4AA batteries but you can easily upgrade to a soundboard and still have long runtime.

The blade is really bright, even in the tip. What type of blade and tip is that and what are you using for film/diffuser?

Nice saber. Love the name! How long is that blade? No way I'd mess with you, wielding that!

The blade is a 40" Trans-White Polycarbonate with about 40"x3' of celophane giftwrap inside. Even without the giftwrap it is still really even.

I think total length comes in at 53 and 3/4 inches.

It's suprisingly light. I plan on adding weight to the end of the hilt to balance it, though. The blade is still heavier.

I was very suprised, myself, when I activated it for the first time. I just stared at it in awe... I almost welled up.

EDIT: Btw, I can't send or receive PMs or send visitor messages until I've been here 15 days, Darth Midian, but I'll look you up then ^.^

Seth once you start, you can't stop. I'm driving my wife a little nuts with all the ideas I keep coming up with. It's really an awesome hobby. I'm really glad I dicovered it. I actually like it better than building R/C cars. (that was my hobby during highschool) Are you using the trans white thick walled blade or the thin walled?

Haha, I agree! The cool thing is, I got my wife wanted me to build one for her now! She has her heart set on a purple blade, so I have to try my hand with RGBs, now.

I built one for my wife. She likes it, she can't duel with it though. She swings it around, I get mine, She tries to hit me thens runs away. It's pretty funny

Do what?

Oh and you should make one for everyone in your family. Haha. Nice fist saber. As I said with your design, it is almost 15" long. It would be waaaayyy too long for me, especially with the 40" blade. I am glad that you and your gorilla stolen hands like your saber.

Heheh, thanks ;)

My two girls are way too small to be swinging things around the house, just yet.

Come to think of it.... so is my wife.

AHH just wait till a little one smacks your fingers or your knuckels with a 1" thick wall PolyC blade....... 7 year olds dont have control over "spirited" saber play. The blade will not give it will be your fingers ...

I love my son, but seriously I would never go against him with a real saber he would kick my but.... hes got crazy monkey style with his saber, im just glad he only has a 26" blade
