Well, I have to admit everyone I had given up my saber building. Turns out I was just being "not inspired". With a little smack up side the head from Midian I just finished dremeling the overlay for my latest saber. NOW, I know this is a "gallery forum" but my computer and camera are having a fight and dont want to work right now....

I also just ordered my electronics!!!

darth midian has some skill with dremel and PVC. i will say that from first hand knowledge (*picks up saber built by darth midian) :D:D:D:D

im anxious to see what ya got man. glad you is back. let me tell you this hobby can get so kriffing frusterating. its terrible. but when you get a totally awesome saber done. the feeling is priceless. thats what keeps me going. i picture the finished saber in my hand and the pictures ill be posting to show it off. :D:D:D

Havok, I'm glade to see you're back. I'm looking forward to seeing pics. I want to see Ryu finished, that saber's really taking shape. Thanks DJ, that's funny. I do the same thing, picturing the completed saber in hand. Actually I picture myself in an epic lightsaber battle & showing off the pictures of the saber in the gallery

Here is what I have now, got the paint and electronics, Electronics tomorrow ( test fit ) and painting tomorrow as well ( it got dark 2 quick )
Sorry its not fantasic and finished!, I wanted a nice simple sable, plus with the design it fits into my hand perfect. I had a dream of making a big fancy saber, but this is my broken dream.

its an slightly older MAC keyboard.... I had a slim aluminum one.... but they dont work well with POP (soda) for the rest of you.

nope my hand fits right between them, its also help when " spinning" the saber, kind of a stop for my hand!

well there has been no progress as of yet.

but the blade will be a luxV royal blue, and maybe it will be for a sith assassin who is double agent, killing jedi's from within!!!

yeah the inner body, I did 3 layers of silver, then went over it 2x with blue so when I sanded, to give it that "aged" looked the silver showed threw the blue and gave it a great effect!

Im am soo happy! It is so bright in a brightly lite room. it makes a pitch black room, light up like day time... again

Looks good. I would have preferred to see more silver in the mis with the blue. The blue kind of took over. I like the style though.
