A'Sharad Hett "Genesis" Saber

As many of you know I have been wanting to do some custom work on my lathe. My vacation has given me the opportunity to do soemthing that I want to do. I really liked the A'Sharad Hett stunt project that I recently worked on and thought that the design could be 'reworked' a little. This one is all modified MHS parts and 100% of that modification is by me. I also did an inlaid 2-layer leather grip and 'bling-string' of beads. I will do this thread as a 'build thread' so you can see where things started and where they ended.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that design, but I wanted to do a 'V2" so to speak, so I machined this:

I'd have had to look at the comparative pics to see they were MHS, the modding is very, very good.

This for me feels more like a sandperson lightsaber to me than the other does. A total touch would have been a couple of faux dragon teeth at the end of the bead string.

Shark probably wouldn't do to represent a krayt dragon tooth but a dinosaure tooth would. Surely they sell replica dino teeth though.

Very nice saber. Since I'm a fan of Hett, I will say verrrrrry nice saber. I not only like the leather work (and how it was attached) but I do like the "weathering" as well.
