ok.i need help. i tried following that tutorial, and i can't get the blade to screw apart to see the inside of it. I have a 2005. does that make a difference?

what part. Mine came apart just fine. that tutorial is pretty straight forward.

Now move up to the emitter. There are two parts that will unscrew here. The easier one is where the silver band (next to the orange neck) meets the black band. Mine loosened up by hand without too much trouble.

you should be able to find them at any hardware store, they are great as they are made from rubber so it wont damage your saber! :D

Yeah, strap wrench is great or if you have one of those rubber pads for grannies (to help open jars) that'll help a lot too. It's mostly a grip problem which is why the rubber is the best.

i twisted really really hard and the battery pack section twisted off the bottom. I don't think the top will ever want t come off, but i found a new part that will come off.

small screw driver and a pair of needle nose pliers. just use the little screw driver to break up the goo and pull it out. that's what I did.
