Not sure if anyone has seen this but I'm looking at this on the news now.

Have they purposely made this thing to look like a lightsaber?
Thought on this anyone!

I don't know where they thinking of it when designing it, but it sure would make an awesome hilt!
Wonder can it be converted...

Theres already a thread on this. These things are not funny. I really do hope they get banned before they get into the wrong hands and start injuring innocent bystanders.
This is the thread. (http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=10962&highlight=laser)
My thoughts? It looks cool but is not very practical. I won't get into the dangers of it as it's no more dangerous than a gun... and I own guns.
I personally can't see a use for it. If I want to start a fire, I'll use a lighter or matches. If I was to physically hurt someone in self defense, I can think of much better things to use than a high-powered laser than can set them on fire or permanately blind them.

There's already a thread about this here:

And please don't spell it "lazer", there's no "z" in "laser", it's an acronym:
Light(wave) Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation

We need to find a way to diffuse the light from one of these crazy diodes so we can use it in a saber blade. We might be able to just take the focusing lens off it & use a glass diffuser!

Aww come on. I'm still working on the last crazy bright blade experiment.
Just remember to keep the supplied glasses on when playing around with it. ;)
And maybe body armor.:p
