Hello all..

Some of you might remember my first MHS build: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=9937

Well, this ain't much more than an upgrade with some cosmetic changes. No new parts though.

It was quite a hassle with the US 2.5, I sent it back to the seller on ebay, and he sent me a new one.

Also, I broke the power jack. I don't know how, but removing the kill key didn't give power to the saber. I got over this by making the power jack so that it only works if you insert a 'power key'.

I got this finished today, when my LEDs and some other stuff came from TCSS.

(Veneratio is latin, and it stands for Honor)

Specs
US 2.5
4x AA = 6V
Luxeon III Red-Orange (With quick swap for white P4)
TCSS guarded momentary switch
JST connectors

Some new things from the previous version of this saber are O-rings on the ribbed grooved grip and. some copper wire around the blade retention screw

nice..you might wanna check your board and see how it's dealing with the voltage. I ran mine off 6V and it was really hot. So I had to drop it to 4.8 rechargeable. Although mine is a p4 blue so the LED has different requirements then the lux 3 red/orange. Any extra voltage will be burned off as heat.

Sometimes when you haven't sanded the killkey it's so tight that it bends the port, and stays off when you remove the key. I managed to pick mine back and now it works fine but having extra ports are handy. I've had to redo them on a few sabers as they seem to get damaged easy if you fuss with them.

The copper wire has me curious. Does it act like a spring when you loosen it to remove your blade and still leave room to fully tighten?

About the copper wire, it does not act like a spring. But that would be very cool though...

its kinda like a nut made of copper wire

Yeah dude, I would be careful about 6V on a U.S. 2.5..that board is notorious for acting up on anything more than 4.8 V. Just giving you a heads up.

Nice saber, though!
