I was going through the store and noticed that the stainless steel covertec clip & the 1" safety plug are no longer there. I've been waiting for the clip to come back in stock, but now it doesn't even show up. Are they no longer being carried?

I am by no means a store expert, but I would say that it's just a bug in the codes or something..

The clip won't be carried again, I believe. Same goes for all the stuff that you could buy at Saberkit

Tim can if he chooses... I forget the specifics.

I do not understand why not to carry the clip, since almost everyone need them and they we're almost always out of stock..

oh no!
That means..more then those two items and explains the switch boxes being replaced. I've never seen the need to order anywhere else, and I hope that doesn't change.

I dunno if they're back now... but a few weeks ago I found no trace of the black QD's in the store. Can anyone else see them?

They're there...looking was quicker then posting

We had a falling out with one of our suppliers. As such some items will not be stocked again and some will be replaced with our own versions. If the item is not listed in the store then it more than likely will not be available anytime soon.

Thanks for the heads up Tim. :D

Well that explains that. Where am I going to get a similar(metal) covertec clip now? Any ideas?

I believe he was referring to the belt clip itself rather than the button Ace' ;) The belt clip sold in the store now Yogen is going to be your best bet. It is more movie accurate anyway:D

I think he is talking about the metal belt clip. I don't see it in the store anymore. I see the plastic one but not the metal one that was for d-ring and covertec.

Yeah, I realized that like one minute after I posted those links and it occured to me he did say clip. I thought I had edited my posts to remove the links. Guess it didn't work.

You wouldn't have if my darn first edit had worked. That's what I get for having too many windows open at the same time. Cut me some slack, I was doing my luchtime spambot hunt.

The answer was already given earlier in this thread if you look for it. But like the other said, purchase from tim. He is awesome.

True, and I briefly thought about it, but that does not really help me. There's a reason I actually wrote the word metal in my last post. That's what I'm looking for. I couldn't care less about "movie accurate". Not my concern.

I do like Tim, but he doesn't have what I'm looking for so that's irrelevant. I cannot purchase what he does no have. As for the Saberkit option, while they do have what I'm looking for, I do have 2 points of contention. One, I just want the clip, not whole belt kit. I already have a nice belt and don't need the rest. Two, they state flat out delivery can take 3 to 8 weeks. Are they serious?!? I can't deal with that. I could dig-up the ore, refine the metal, pour, stamp, cut, & shape it in 8 weeks.

Anybody else? Ideas? Sources? Much appreciated.

Saberkit is your only option. Randomsabers used to carry metal ones I think but they don't now.

Dude..

If you MUST have THAT clip then you MUST buy it from them. They are the ONLY ones that have it. Get it now?

I was a little ruffled by the attitude in his post myself. Glad someone else chimed in. Especially you Tim.

Yeah, I had to bite my tongue from making the obvious response to "I could dig-up the ore, refine the metal, pour, stamp, cut, & shape it in 8 weeks." though at least that was a bit humorous...at least I hope he meant it to be humourous.

I could almost hear Freddy singing:

I want it all...I want it all...I want it all...

...and I want it NOW!...

lol

Aren't the plastic ones better anyway? More secure, easier to release?

And the plastic ones don't scratch up your saber, either.
