Just got my saber..

I just recieved my saber in the mail, and all I could say was "Wow!!" and then, "This was SO worth waiting for!"

I ordered the hilt section with ribbed extension piece, pommel 3, and emitter 5. When I designed the saber with the MHS builder, I originally placed the ribbed extension piece between the hilt and emitter. But after playing with the real thing, I decided I liked it better down between the hilt and pommel. It allowed me more room to get a two-handed grip without the switch getting in my way, and helped balance the long blade alot better. I was so happy that I showed it to several other star wars fans I know, and now they all want one too! I can't wait to get this thing wired up, I will be sure to post pictures.

That is exactly how I have designed my saber. It's nice to see that someone has tested that design and found it viable.

Now if only my parts would arrive. [:(]

A friend of mine who knows alot of local SW fans saw my modular hilt and was like "its cool...." (I only have the 1st blade holder, going to get another) then I brought up the site and his eyes lit up! Hopefully Tim will be doing alot of selling here in Texas soon. I know he said 2-3 others were smitten by the gallery pics of the MHS. And those who aren't do it themselves inclined are considering getting some fx conversions done.

Congrats on your saber! Finish it out and post it in the gallery so we can all drool about it!
