I had an empty FX Vader ANH lying around and I decided to try one of the new 2010 economy boards in it. I also used a blue Cree LED. The main problem with using an economy with the FX hilt is the switch. The orginal FX uses a latching switch and the econo board uses a momentary switch. I use one of the long stem tactile switches from the store and was able to drill a hole in one of the bubbles in teh bubble strip and put it there. It is a great fit and it is recessed a little so you don't accidently turn it off. Here are pics and a video.
