Hey all. Did a lot of searching but since AV is too short, and the forum users rarely spell out "anti-vandal", I didn't get much.

Do we used the guarded style hilt or the standard style hilt for the AV switches?

Specifically I am looking at this one:

Niether. AV switches require a 5/8" hole and a mounting ring.

so I should just order the standard and enlarge the hole myself.

Or have Tim drill the 5/8" hole.

Actually, the switch you linked to is short enough to be countersunk into the hilt. You could have Tim do that for you. This way you won't need the mounting ring.

sweet! done. The ring is out of stock, anyways.

Tim did one of these AV holes for me; countersunk in an MHS gear part. Looks great and just barely has the clearance inside. : )
