Looks like X-wing was on the same track as me for housing the crystal... I originally intended to use washers, but I could not find good aluminum ones to polish. So I used plated fender washers instead and drilled holes on my drill press.

My latest crystal chamber that will be installed into my HMS/sinktube hilt. just waiting on a soundcard solution.

Description: base I machined out of aluminum. Crystal is quartz, clear chamber and chamber plug is acrylic, doodads scavenged from computer, LED is RGB slow color changing.

That katana-wrapped one is downright sick. Also really like the look of the more rustic one in the bottom of the case. Most impressive.

Not sure if this is the right place for this. If not, I apologize. I decided to make an flat style blade to accessorize my light saber. The pics below show some of the progress of this project which I'm still working on.

Has more of a Vibro weapon feel, another weapon of the old Star Wars universe. Looks cool as hell. Like the junkyard aesthetic!

Well, you're not wrong. It's defo not a lightsaber but I consider it an accessory to my lightsaber hilt because its an alternative blade to my standard polytube blade. The second pic down shows the effect of my lightsaber's emitter shinning through this flat blade, so although the blade has its own power source for the two leds mounted directly to it, it also utilizes the lightsaber hilt leds. The combined effect is that the blade changes from a greenish yellow to an amber colour toward the tip..

Thanks. I'm still working on it so the paint job isn't final but in the end it should look a lot more convincing.
