Ok not to confuse anyone I have not found tips that are colored, but rather have found a possible way to color the tips. I used a stained glass paint my fiance was useing for a project she is working on. It dries a transparent shade of the color. It's not a perfect match but it's something.

Here are pics of one I did and the paint, will edit in more when get them working on trying the black next.

That might be ok with show blades, but may not hold up well to dueling.

I've used stained glass window paints before and they were sort of a transparent plastic film, once dried.

Cool idea.

Rit dye might also work, you can dye certain types of plastics with it.

Krylon and other spray paint companies produce aerosol lines of a similar stain glass tint product. If that doesn't work maybe another aerosol version may hold up better.

Hopeing that putting it on a plastic like the tips might bond it better then when it is on glass.

Your typo, which you edited out.

Goltar, that looks pretty good. For a show blade that'll work well. It is nice how it's translucent so the tip still lights up

Yeah that is due to most blacks includeing the polyc blade are a blue base and the camera picked up that with the white light showing through it.

Looks really good. Where would you get this type of dye from?

It is more a paint i used then a die and the one pictured in the first post can be found at art supply store like micheals, or ac moore.

Craft stores, that's what Michaels is. I think Jo-anns has it too.

Great idea...the Kelly green looks pretty close when lit...modding the mirror so more light gets through should make the effect even better.
