Does anyone know what can be used and where to get it from? I'm looking for a switch you can rotate like Darth Mauls but for my MHS saber. I'd appreciate any info one could give such as size and all since my MHS parts aren't here yet. Thanks!

I did a saber just last week that I used a thumbscrew as the activator. You can use just about any kind of pressure type switch in the hilt and then use the screw so when you turn in you get activation. Another thought I had was to take a piece of copper solid wire and solder to the bottom of the thumbscrew and then have a leg on each side so you just rotate 90 degrees on/off as the copper completes the circuit.

You could use a volume control pot that has a switch section for a on/off switch. You would not use the pot section use the switch section.

Cool ideas instead of the standard switch.[8D]

what about using the knob switches off a electric guitar amp on/off switch. alot of the cheap ones have a knob you turn to turn it on/off.

It took 3 posts before someone suggested a real on off knob switch. Check Radioshack for an overpriced switch, I think they have them. I remember seeing one in the switch drawer, but yours may not have them.

If all else fails, scavenge. You might find one on something you don't need anymore.

Why the heck would I want to do that[?][:p]

I did try some switches like that but I didn't get what I was looking for so it was off to the churn and burn method[;)]
