Now thats a sweet looking saber dude. Just cause I like the style I may do a Mara Jade saber. Can the MHS gear be used near the blade holder? Can't wait for the new Rebel LEDs to come in, they look like alot of fun to put together and very bright too. I'm starting my new job next week so you guys will hear from me more often! :]

the gear can be used anywhere, really. Just make sure you watch the threads. I think my first saber is going to use the gear piece right before the choke up top. Several people have done it recently if you snoop around the gallery section.

how you got that switch tightened in the middle there is beyond me. that could NOT have been easy. but its a very nice saber non the less. i think some brass accents on that beauty would be fantastic!

Very nice. I like the looks of it a lot!
I'll probably try and mimic it someday, even!

dont mimic it completely. go with another way of doing it, getting the switch on was a PITA. thank god i had needlenoses with a 5" reach.

very nice job there!!!

What kind of switch is that?!?!? It looks like a 12mm lighted anti-vandal type, but I've never seen one that looks quite like that!

I'm using the Blade Holder style 19 on my (WIP) work office saber too - can't wait! Love the way it looks!

I REALLY like the grip section. I've been toying with the idea of having that done myself. If I do I'm sure that when I post there will be something about the switch installation pains and I expect you to slap me down with a big "I told you so".

If you DONT do sound, the switch section works as normal... If you do, you need the extra space.

I agree with Deej. Brass accents would be great! Good Job, pal!

Donno if i could do accents, but this is simpler and well balanced. It works perfectly for my needs.

Just out of curiosity, how much more space would be required to use this hilt style with sound? I know it sounds kinda stupid, but we all have our reasons.

well, it depends on what setup you want to use. What kind of soundboard? What kind of batteries? Do you have a chassis? That's some info we need to know.

PhoenixReborn

This hilt HAS sound.

I'm digging the allen screws around the handle, that must have been a painstaking process.

That grip piece comes with the threaded holes already in it. All you have to do is put the screws in. ;)

See?

Yeah, sorry for the incredble vagueness. I try to be a little better than that. I am going to use a Vader FX board and homemade chassis. It's still very much in the conceptual phase so that's just about as precise as I can be.

Oh and I apologize for the slight derailment of this thread.

This is why I used Rebels in this: Rebirth owns the lights in the room. (Blue saber being used by Chris Abrams [Xeo])
