haha apparently so... but however, he will get none of my "classified" designs i had in mind! lol :mrgreen: but saber themes i.e. weathering, futuristic, double bladed , organic, etc.... are there for him to spark ideas! lol:cool:

Greetings all,

I can remember reading about sabers that had a guard or hilt on them. Something could be done with short pieces of poly tube, and a second, side-emitting LED, maybe mounted on the reverse side of the LED heat sink perhaps?

Alternately, what about a light pike? A long (4'-5') hilt with a shorter (2'-3') blade.

If we're talking about EL sabers, what about a light cutlass or scimitar, with a curved poly tube (I can't imagine the difficulty in doing something like that with LEDs)?

I'm pretty new to saber construction, so please don't be too harsh if this is all old hat. I'm just spitballing here.
