Hello,

I tried following the tutorial to disassemble the Anakin RotS lightsaber (http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=3) because I want to remove the blade but I'm stuck at the point where I must "Slide the electronics out of the hilt".

I removed the box and pushed the switch in the hilt:

I removed the small gold button:

I removed the big gold button (completely destroying it in the process):

And now I'm stuck, well, the blade is stuck. I won't move.

Shouldn't I do something about the bolt-looking thingy circled in red below, or about the 4 golden screws circled in green?

You are pointing at them in the tutorial but why? Nothing is said. What can I do? I can't reverse-remove screws and I don't have an hexagonal screwdriver for the bolt.

Something is missing in the tutorial?
Am I stupid? (probably)

Help me, forum members, you are my only hope.

Thanks!

Use needle nose pliers to pull out the gold pins. Use an allen wrench to take out that screw you mentioned. The electronics should slide out after that.

Thanks for the answer Lord Maul. So it seems it was a little bit of both options!

I tried my about 350 allen keys and not one fits the damn hole. Guess I'll just keep the blade... Good news is it all reassembled perfectly and it actually still works!

350? I think you're exaggerating a little. :p Did you try both Standard and Metric?

It's metric iirc it's a 2 or 3 mm wrench.

Yes, a little bit exaggerated

I'll buy 2mm and 3mm keys, thanks.

Holy crap!

Doesn't look like you were exaggerating by much.

Why do you have all of those? And in all those, you don't have the size you need?

You made me spew my fried chicken, J-Lo. At least I wasn't drinking milk.

I literally took an Anakin apart just yesterday. It's a 2mm wrench you need. And, yeah, it does seem funny you'd have all those Allen wrenches, and not a single 2mm one in the lot.

Hello, I'm stop at the photo number 13 "The two pins on the left get punched out with a hammer and punch, and the pin on the right (one on reverse side as well) gets pried out"
I can't remove the third pin on the right, any advise?

thank you

Its not a pin its a little plug, you should pry it out with a small screw driver, sometimes you can just continue and leave it, since it's so weak, it may not do anything.
